Bucharest commuters experience worst traffic jams in Europe

Bucharest is the city with the worst traffic jams in Europe, with a congestion level of 41%, according to TomTom’s Traffic Index. Other European cities with high traffic congestion levels are Warsaw (40%) and Rome (38%). They surpassed cities such as London (37%), Marseille (36%) and Paris (35%). The world ranking is topped by Istanbul (58%) followed, in order, by Mexico City (55%), Rio de Janeiro (51%), Moscow (50%), Salvador (46%), Recife (45%), Saint Petersburg (44%), Bucharest (41%), Warsaw (40%) and Los Angeles and Taipei (39% each).
