Over 1,200 people have called the ambulance on Christmas day, over 640 of them being medical emergencies such as digestive problems or heart diseases, according to the Bucharest-Ilfov Ambulance Service (SABI). A total of 1,211 calls were recorded in the last 24 hours, with 10 percent more than in a normal day, Alis Grasu, manager of SABI, told local news agency Mediafax.
