British TV channels broadcast documentary series about the lives of Romanian immigrants

British televisions Channel 4 and 4Seven will broadcast a documentary series about the lives of Romanian immigrants in Britain. Channel 4 will broadcast the first episode of the series called The Romanians are Comingon February 17, 21:00 (23:00 Romanian time). 4Seven will broadcast the same episode from 23:10 (01:10 Romanian time), on the same day, reports local Mediafax. According to the presentation made by Channel 4, the documentary series explore the lives of Romanians trying to make a new life in Britain, and seeking out the truth behind the headlines about immigration. The first episode will focus on Alex, a Romanian immigrant who sleeps in a car park next to Victoria station and helps new arrivals settle in London. The episode will also present the life of Roma gypsy Sandu, who struggles to settle in Liverpool as he doesn't speak any English. Irina Popescu, irina.popescu@romania-insider.com
