British payment processor PayPoint increased its revenues in Romania by 4.2%, in the fiscal year that ended on March 31, to over EUR 42 million. The number of bill payments PayPoint processed in Romania increased by almost 13% to 60.2 million transactions. In the previous fiscal year, PayPoint recorded revenues of EUR 40 million and processed 53.5 million transactions. The company’s market share grew from 20% to 21.8%. The British payment processor expanded its terminal network in Romania by 907 units in the last financial year reaching 10,141 terminals. The number represents a fourth of the group’s total number of terminals. The company launched its bill payment service in the local market in 2007. editor@romania-insider.com
