Braking system manufacturer buys land for expansion in Caransebes

TMD Friction, which produces braking systems for Dacia and owns a factory in Caransebes, Caras-Severin county, acquired three plots with a total area of 25,000 sqm from the local city hall to expand its activity. The deal amounts to several millions of euro and was carried out three months ago, reports local Ziarul Financiar. The company reached a turnover of EUR 50 million and a number of 430 employees in 2015, and the business has registered steady growth. Moreover, the factory TMD Friction has a profit margin of 30%. TMD Friction Romania is one of the largest local exporters, ranking 154th last year. The company also ranks second among exporters in Caras-Severin county. editor@romania-insider.com
