Taiwanese electronics group BenQ recorded a 32% increase in projector sales in Romania, in the first quarter of 2015 , double compared to the overall evolution of the local market - 15%. With a 48% market share in Romania, the company registered the best first quarter results since 2008. On the Full HD projectors market, BenQ has a market share of 62%. BenQ’s Short Throw projectors registered a 125% year-on-year increase in sales, much more than the growth of the local market, of 30%. “BenQ’s evolution was better than the local market’s growth, the institutional segment being the main driver with an increase in sales of 68%,” said Dragos Salamac, Team Leader BenQ CEE for Romania. The projectors for the business segment recorded a 7% increase in the first quarter, while home projectors registered a growth of 23%. On the Home Cinema projectors market, BenQ posted a growth of 11% between January and March, ensuring a market share of 52%.
