Belgian bpost, the only bidder for the Romanian Post

Belgian postal services operator bpost was the only company that submitted a non-bidding offer for acquiring the 51% stake in the Romanian Post. “The Belgian operator’s decision represents the premise for a successful privatization, a process managed by the government in accordance with its own strategy. […] We are delighted to have a bidder that meets all the qualities wanted from a majority shareholder of the national postal services operator”, reads a press release of the Romanian Post. bpost’s decision will trigger the conversion of the Romanian Post’s debts into shares, a pre-condition for submitting the non-binding offer.
