Utilities and home maintenance were the main household costs, according to statistics. The average monthly income totaled last year EUR 210 per person. Salaries represent the most important source of revenue. They have a 51% share in total household income. Revenues from social benefits (23.8%), agriculture (3.4%), or independent activities (2.5%) also contribute to income. Romanians also consume agricultural products from their own resources.
