Asirom insures lives of Romanian soldiers in battle missions

Local insurer Asirom VIG won the auction organized by the National Defense Ministry (MApN) and will supply life insurance policies for Romanian troops in combat missions for a period of three years. The company, which was the sole bidder, will get RON 7.99 million (EUR 1.76 million), reports local Profit.ro. The insured amount for the death risk of soldiers is at least EUR 80,000. In the case of disability, the policy ranges between EUR 40,000 and EUR 60,000. Also, the liability limit for the risk of illnesses that produce mutilations or irreversible physical defects will amount to EUR 60,000. The insurer will cover repatriation costs of up to EUR 14,000 if it gets proof of these costs, as well as hospitalization and outpatient treatment costs of EUR 60 per day, for 3 to 90 days.
