Romanian steel producer ArcelorMittal Galati finalizes EUR 10 mln investment

ArcelorMittal Galati, the biggest steel producer in Romania, has finalized a EUR 10 million investment program in modernizing and repairing a steel casting machine, the company announced on Monday, March 5. The investment will allow the company to increase its steel production by reducing technical and accidental stops and by obtaining a higher casting speed. The quality flaws will also be eliminated. “This project is part of our short- and medium-term efforts to modernize the steel shop and implement, as much as possible, the new automation and digitization technologies in our production processes,” said ArcelorMittal Galati general manager Bruno Ribo.
