Andres Vicente takes over as Vodafone Romania’s new Chief Commercial Officer

Andres Vicente, 41, is the new Chief Commercial Officer for Vodafone Romania’s business division, according to the company. He replaces Gabriela Matei who went on an extended holiday on personal reasons. Before coming to Romania, Andres Vicente has been sales manager at Vodafone Spain, where he has been working from 1995, except for a period of three years, between 2001-2004, when he joined a strategy consulting company. He graduated law at the Universidad Autónoma Madrid and holds an International MBA from the School of Industrial Organization and Manchester Business School. Check his CV here. Vodafone Romania posted revenues up by 3 percent quarter-on-quarter in the three-month period ending on September 30 this year. The telecom company’s revenues for the six months ending at the end of September reached EUR 410.7 million. Its operational profit went down 13 percent in the first half of the financial reporting year, to around EUR 52 million, according to Vodafone’s financial report.
