Romanian finishes the hardest triathlon in the world

Andrei Rosu (in the center of the picture) rode his bike to the Arc the Triomphe in Paris on Wednesday, July 1, to become the first Romanian and the 22nd person in the world ever to finish Enduroman's Arc 2 Arch Ultra Triathlon, considered to be the hardest such competition in the world. He finished the challenge in 85 hours and 30 minutes, or just over 3 days and a half. He left London’s Marble Arch on Saturday evening, ran 140 kilometers to the port of Dover, swam over 20 hours across the English Channel becoming the first Romanian ever to do this, and then rode 290 kilometers by bike from Calais to Paris. Andrei Rosu, who turned 39 on Monday, while swimming the English Channel, completely changed his lifestyle a few years back when he started running marathons. In 2012, he set the world record for the fastest time to run seven marathons and seven ultra-marathons on seven continents.
