Media: Germanwings co-pilot's grandfather moved from Romania to Germany in the 70s

The grandfather of Andreas Lubitz, the co-pilot who crashed the Germanwings plane in the French Alps last week, moved from Romania to Germany in the early-70s, according to German publication Donau Kurier. Lubitz’s grandparents lived in Neuburg, Bavaria, until a few months ago, when they moved to their daughter, the co-pilot’s mother, in Montabaur, Rheinland-Pfalz. Back in the 70s, the Lubitz' grandfather moved from Romania to Germany. At that time, he was a young physician and came to Germany for a medical conference. He then found a job as a doctor in Neuburg and decided to settle there. His wife worked as a teacher in a primary school, according to Donau Kurier, cited by local Mediafax. Andreas Lubitz is the co-pilot who authorities believe is responsible for the crash of the Germanwings flight in the French Alps last week, killing all 150 people on board.
