Erste Group analysts expect Romania’s National Bank BNR to further slash the key interest rate by 0.25% in its January 2015 meeting. The monetary policy rate is currently of 2.75%, and the most recent decrease was in November, from 3% to 2.75%. BNR made five interest rate cuts so far this year, bringing the monetary policy interest rate down from 4% at the end of December 2013, to 2.75%. editor@romania-insider.com
