American company Cooper Standard to build a new factory in Craiova, Romania

American components manufacturer Cooper Standard will builda new facility in Craiova, Romania to further expanding its global automotive body sealing and fluid handling businesses, according to the company. The total value of investment has not been communicated, but the new factory will create 150 jobs. “In addition to initially supporting Ford, our new Romanian operations will offer sealing and fluid handling products to our other global customers”, said Cooper Standard’s Chief Operating Officer, Keith Stephenson. Cooper Standard employs approximately 21,000 people globally and operates in 19 countries around the world, including Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Thailand, United Kingdom and United States.
