Almost 87% of health cards distributed in Romania

About 87% of the health insurance cards have been distributed so far in Romania, according to Vasile Ciurchea, the president of the National Health Insurance House of Romania (CNAS). Some 12.5 million cards have been printed so far. "A small number of cards returned to the institution, while others are currently being processed. The card is activated if the citizen is insured, and it takes between 30 seconds and a minute for the card to be activated," said the CNAS representative, cited by local Agerpres.
