German insurer Allianz posted EUR 55 million in gross subscribed premiums in Romania on the general insurance segment in the first quarter of the year. This was a drop of 11 percent compared to the same period of last year, according to the group's report. Allianz' operational profit went down to zero, from EUR 1 million in the first quarter of 2010. Allianz is present in Romania through Allianz – Tiriac Insurance, as well as Allianz Tiriac Private Pensions. editor@romania-insider.com
