Air Canada officially announces direct flights to Bucharest

Canadian airline Air Canada officially announced that it would launch direct flights from Canada to Bucharest starting this summer. The company will start with the Montreal-Bucharest flight on June 7 and Bucharest-Montreal flight on June 8. On June 9, the company will also launch the Toronto-Bucharest direct flight, local Profit.ro reported. Air Canada will thus become the only North American Airline that operates trans-Atlantic flights to Romania. The interest for flights from Romania to Canada has increased after Canada removed the visas for Romanians last year. Air Canada is managed by Romanian-born Călin Rovinescu. editor@romania-insider.com
