A&D Pharma opens first Anima private clinic in Bucharest

Pharmaceutical distributor and retailer A&D Pharma has entered the private health care clinics market through opening a first such clinic in Bucharest under the Anima brand, the company has announced. The clinic, which is located on Buzesti St., near Victoriei square, was developed by the group's new business line Anima Specialty Medical Services, which was set up at the beginning of this year. The clinic covers 600 sqm and includes 15 doctor offices on all medical specialties. A similar clinic is functional in Titan area of Bucharest and another opening is scheduled for the Pantelimon neighborhood in the following period. A&D Pharma is running the Sensiblu chain of pharmacies in Romania and the Mediplus pharma distribution business. The group posted EUR 514 million in revenues at the end of 2009. Its net sales in the first quarter of the year reached EUR 150 million, up 33 percent on the same period of last year.
