Urgent Cargus owner attracts EUR 500 mln for investments in region

Private equity fund Abris Capital Partners, which controls in Romania companies such as courier firm Urgent Cargus, paper producer Pehart Grup and Green Group, a group of local recycling companies, has attracted EUR 500 million for new investments in Central and Eastern Europe, especially in Poland and Romania. “The new fund is a clear commitment to this region. We want to continue being very active in Romania, benefiting from a larger allocation of this latest fund of EUR 500 million,” Cezar Scarlat, Head of Abris Romania, said. Since its establishment in 2007, Abris has managed to raise almost EUR 1.3 billion from investors and funds entirely geared to market opportunities in Central and Eastern Europe. Abris Capital Partners is an independent private equity fund dedicated to investment in Central and Eastern Europe.
