Millions of mobile phone SIM cards found on Bucharest street

21 November 2017

A man found on a street in Bucharest five bags full of mobile phone SIM cards. When he opened the bags, which were left there by two individuals, the man saw that they were containing millions of SIM cards, reports local Stirileprotv.ro.

Curious, the man even tried to see if the SIM cards were functional, so he tried some of them. However, as he had no idea what to do with so many mobile phone cards, he decided to take the bags to the National Anticorruption Department (DNA). However, the anticorruption prosecutors sent him to the Police.

The man finally decided to call the emergency number 112 to announce the discovery. The policemen have opened an investigation, trying to find where are these SIM cards coming from. They also want to find the two men who left the bags on the street.
