Premier Restaurants Romania opened the second McDonald's fast food restaurant in Bacau with an investment of some RON 2.5 million (EUR 544,000).

The unit is located in the Arena Mall shopping center and has 40 employees.

The company plans to open three more restaurants in Romania this year. With the new unit in Bacau, McDonald's has reached a network of 69 restaurants in Romania.

Malta-based Premier Capital owns the McDonald’s franchise in Romania. About 800,000-900,000 people visited the McDonald's restaurant in Bacau last year. The city has close to 200,000 inhabitants, according to the National Statistics Institute.
