Târnaț Kalotaszeg Durabil on their work to stop the decay of a church in western Romania and repairing traditional structures sustainably

The association Târnaț Kalotaszeg Durabil (TKD), joined by several enthusiasts and villagers, worked to repair the roof of the former Greek-Catholic (now Orthodox) church in Petrinzel/Kispetri, in northwestern Romania's Sălaj county. Their work on the church, which has stopped the timber decay from the continued ingress of water, is one of the several projects the association has to preserve and bring back into use traditional structures at risk, part of a passion for traditional building and mission to promote sustainable development in the region.
