First tiny house festival in Eastern Europe takes place in Romania this month

Rasnov, in central Romania, will host the first festival dedicated to tiny homes in Central and Eastern Europe this month. Scheduled for June 23-25, the Tiny House Festival aims to bring together entrepreneurs, builders, renowned influencers, creative people, and enthusiasts of this architectural movement.

The event is a project of Tudor and Anda Maxim, founders and initiators of several tourism promotion projects, and top players in the modular home industry and related fields.

“We will have the largest variety of mobile homes, tiny houses and modular homes in one place for three days. Exhibitors will have special offers for the exhibited homes […]. Prices range from EUR 6,000 for the smallest holiday home to EUR 50,000 for larger, fully equipped homes,” said Tudor Maxim, founder of Tiny House Festival and Pura Vida Huts, manufacturer of tiny houses.

“Our mission is to grow this niche in Romania, in a field undergoing accelerated development at the international level, a market estimated at EUR 5 billion annually,” he added.

Tiny House Festival brings together manufacturers of tiny houses, modular homes, temporary structures or prefabricated houses from Romania, as well as suppliers and partners of the tiny house construction industry, floor heating companies, off-grid solutions providers, and insulation suppliers.

During the three-day event, visitors can tour the houses on display, study the models and learn about the design and construction process. They can also try eco products and delicacies offered by food trucks or purchase handmade accessories made by local artisans.

The festival’s program also includes workshops and debates about renewable energy, eco-construction and off-grid living dedicated to adults and children.
