The Sun invites readers to spend a vampire weekend in Romania’s Transylvania

Romania’s Transylvania seems to be a popular destination in 2016. Last year, Lonely Planet named Transylvania the number 1 region to visit in 2016, and now journalists from the The Sun invite readers to spend “a vampire weekend” here. “With an edgy art scene, epic landscapes and gothic castles, it’s a bargain European city break – garlic and crucifixes optional,” writes The Sun. The readers are invited to go gallery-shopping in Cluj-Napoca, the biggest city in Transylvania, feed the bears at the Libearty Bear Sanctuary, ski in Poiana Brasov, explore the Bran Castle (also known as Dracula’s Castle), and enjoy the local food.
