Solar house prototype to be built in Bucharest mall parking lot

The prototype of a solar house will be built in the parking lot of a well known Bucharest mall this spring, and will be exhibited until summer. An EFdeN solar-powered house prototype will be built and exhibited in Baneasa Shopping City’s parking between March 17 and June 9, 2014. “The commercial center in Bucharest is officially supporting Romania's representative to the Solar Decathlon Europe final and offers the EFdeN team the necessary space to build the house of the future, which we have designed for 12 months,” according to EFdeN. EFdeN will also organize film screenings, workshops, and visits in the prototype house once it will be completed and opened to the public. EFdeN is Romania’s representative at Solar Decathlon Europe 2014, the most prestigious competition of solar architecture and integrated technology that addresses to universities and educational institutions worldwide.
