Sculpture by Constantin Brancusi on display at Paris exhibition dedicated to Auguste Rodin

The Grand Palais in Paris will host in the coming months a special exhibition dedicated to August Rodin, the event marking the centenary of his death. The exhibition will bring together artworks by Rodin, but also by other artists such as Braque, Picasso, Matisse, and Man Ray. Moreover, Romania’s National Museum of Art will participate in the exhibition with The Sleep sculpture by Romania’s famous artist Constantin Brancusi, reports local Agerpres. The exhibition called Rodin. L'exposition du centenaire, will take place at Grand Palais from March 22 to July 31. Find out more about it here. Constantin Brancusi was born in 1876 in Hobita, southern Romania. Known as “the father of modern sculpture,” he was a painter, architect and a master of “abstract art.” He briefly assisted Rodin early in his career. Read more about him here.
