Romanian production company Romdrops behind song that won American Idol

Artist Iam Tongi has claimed first place and the grand prize on American Idol with the song "I'll Be Seeing You," produced by Romdrops, the international firm founded by Romanian production company HaHaHa Production in Los Angeles.

The song was produced by Florin Boka (Feenom) and Roland Kiss, some of the most important music producers of HaHaHa Production and Romdrops, alongside the great Oak Felder. The Romanian signature song "I'll Be Seeing You" is already number one on the iTunes Top 100 in the US.

Both HaHaHa Production and Romdrops are the product of the collaboration between Romanian pop star Smiley and a number of other artists, many of whom are Romanian.

"I am thrilled for Iam Tongi for winning American Idol. I am extremely happy to have had the opportunity to participate in the production of his song 'I'll Be Seeing You.' The song is currently number one in America... It is a new feeling for me, a tremendous joy, especially when I think about the people who have worked on this song with me. Besides myself and Roland Kiss, who worked on the production, the song also went through the hands of the legendary Oak Felder, who made the final version of the production, and then it was mixed by Manny Marroquin, one of the most awarded sound engineers in history,” said Feenom in the press release.

“Working at this level in the music industry is a blessing. I have dreamt of this since I was 11 years old, and I want to thank Smiley for his patience and vision,” he added.

"We started with a sketch and some notes from Iam Tongi and Oak Felder regarding the musical direction, and here we are at the top. It's overwhelming to work with such big names and see your childhood dreams come true," stated Roland Kiss.

In addition to Iam Tongi's top-ranked song, Romdrops, through Lucian Nagy, is responsible for the musical production of the song "American Grace," performed by Zachariah Smith.

These achievements on American Idol come just a few weeks after the release of Rita Ora's song "Praising You," with musical production by Șerban Cazan, also a part of Romdrops and HaHaHa Production's history. The song has already amassed over 7 million streams on Spotify and over 8 million views of the music video. It is currently in the Top 20 most-played songs on UK radios and in the Top 30 most-played songs in the US.
