Romanian Education Ministry partners Discovery Channel in scientific show for students

Romania's Education Ministry and Discovery Networks have launched a project called 'The Discovery School', which aims at supporting scientific education in Romania. Discovery Channel will start broadcasting on January 16 daily educational programs on Math, Chemistry, Biology, Physics and other sciences, suitable for students from the 5th to the 12th grade. The content of the show will be adapted for Romanian students and connected to what they already study in school. Students and teachers will find additional materials online on scoala.discovery.ro. The shows will have a Romanian voice over.

The Education Ministry has selected 110 schools in the country where teachers will be trained to use additional materials from Discovery. Results of the students in the 100 schools will be monitored following the Discovery School program. editor@romania-insider.com (photo source: Photoxpress.com)
