Central Romania: Astra Film Festival announces October edition
Astra Film Festival, an event dedicated to documentary films, will take place between October 16 and October 25, “in a format adapted to the situation and the uncertainties generated by the pandemic,” the organizers announced.

Astra Film Festival, an event dedicated to documentary films, will take place between October 16 and October 25, “in a format adapted to the situation and the uncertainties generated by the pandemic,” the organizers announced.
Some of the films will be screened in cinemas in Sibiu. At the same time, the entire program will be available online, to viewers in Romania, throughout the festival, and three weeks after.
The program includes more than 50 non-fiction productions, grouped in curated sections and special programs.
The Astra Film DocTank program, dedicated to the cinema industry, will take place between October 18 and October 23 online. The program will cover debates and exchanges on the current situation.
The Astra Film Lab, dedicated to the development of documentary projects, will also be held online.
Further details on the festival’s program will be released in September.
