Bucharest subway commuters can get free books during reading campaign this week

A new edition of the campaign Book at the subway (Cartea la metrou), which is aimed at encouraging reading, will happen at the Bucharest subway this Wednesday, March 27.

Thus, on this day between 09:00 and 11:00, volunteers of the local Litera publishing house will give free books to those seen reading on the subway. The campaign will take place on the Line 2, which connects Pipera to Berceni.

“Happening at busy hours of the morning, at the subway, the campaign is an invitation to reading addressed to all commuters who spend valuable time on the road, day after day. The goal is to spend the time reading a good book, anywhere, anytime, no matter for how long,” reads the press release announcing the event.
