Orthodox Christian Church celebrating Saint Parascheva on October 14

The Orthodox Christians celebrate the Pious Saint Parascheva, on Thursday, October 14. Orthodox and Roman Catholic Christians both from home and abroad come and pray at the relics of St. Parascheva in Iasi and that of the other saints specially brought on pilgrimage, on the occasion. The entire Romanian Patriarchy celebrates and worships St. Parascheva, but she is particularly seen as the protector of Moldavia (Romanian eastern province). On this special occasion, the Romanian Orthodox Church (BOR) Patriarch Daniel accompanied by a group of hierarchs, priests and deacons are officiating the Holy Liturgy in Iasi.
