Viorel Ognean has given up the general manager position for cosmetics and perfumes importer Coty Cosmetics to become the sales development director in charge of Eastern Europe for Diageo alcoholic beverages producer, according to Romanian newspaper Ziarul Financiar. Ognean is a graduate of the Management Faculty of the Economics Study Academy in the Republic of Moldova. He has previously worked with Gilette Romania and Johnson Wax Romania. Diageo is distributed in Romania by Sollers PPD, with brands such as Smirnoff, Guinness, Johnnie Walker, J&B and Bailey's.
