Musical colored water fountains downtown Bucharest at the end of summer

Water fountains located in Bucharest’s Unirii area and on Unirii boulevard between Parlamentului Square and the Alba Iulia Square will be animated with lights and music between early-August and the end of September. The revampion, modernization and extension of the water fountains started in May under a project implemented by the City Hall and Apa Nova Bucuresti, reports local news agency Mediafax. According to representatives of Apa Nova, the water installations in the fountains have already been replaced and modernized, and their ornamental parts were upgraded. They have also been upgraded with lights and music installations, and sensors that reduce or even stop the water jets when the wind blows stronger, or stop the water jets when they detect the presence of a person in the water, reports Mediafax.
