Concert goers in Romania have had plenty of events to choose from in recent years, as many international names made the country a stop in their world tours. The list of concerts announced so far for this year seems to follow the same trend, either with individual concerts or at local festivals. A selection below. Jethro Tull performed by Ian AndersonFebruary 19, 25 The music of British rock band Jethro Tull will be heard in Timișoara and Bucharest. Tickets are available here. Kenny GarrettFebruary 23, 25 Grammy winner post-bop jazz saxophonist Kenny Garret returns to Romania with his Quintet for two concerts, in Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca. Tickets can be purchased here. Richard ClaydermanMarch 6 - March 10 French pianist Richard Clayderman returns to Romania for a tour that will take him to five cities across the country, Bucharest included. Tickets for the Bucharest concert can be purchased here. Glenn Miller OrchestraMarch 11 Originally established by Glenn Miller in 1938, the orchestra will perform in Bucharest under the direction of Will Salden. Tickets are on sale here. Pink Martini and Storm LargeApril 20 The Oregon-based “little orchestra” known for their genre crossing music, from classical and Latin to jazz and classic pop, will perform in Bucharest alongside lead vocalist Storm Large.
