More cab companies to choose from at the Bucharest Otopeni airport

All authorized Bucharest cab companies will be allowed to pick up clients from the Bucharest Henri Coanda (Otopeni) airport from November 11 is they fulfill several minimum mandatory conditions, the Transport Ministry has decided. The airport authority will issue free taxi access permits for the airport but cab owners will have to pay the RON 6 cab access tariff. The Ministry had allowed only 13 cab companies to work on the Bucharest Otopeni airport premises, following a bid in January this year. Some of them had tariffs in the area of RON 3/km, while the usual tariff for most cab companies in Bucharest is around RON 1.39-RON 1.5 editor@romania-insider.com
