Google changes logo to celebrate 130 years since birth of Romanian composer George Enescu

Google changed the logo Friday to celebrate 130 years since the birth of the Romanian composer George Enescu. Google's new logo presents the Romanian composer while playing the violin. George Enescu, born in 1881, in the village of Liveni, is an emblematic figure for the Romanian musical culture and one of the most important names in international gallery of the great composers and interpreters of the twentieth century. He was also an excellent violin teacher. His top students were the violinists Christian Ferras, Ivry Gitlis, Arthur Grumiaux, the Romanian Dinu Lipatti and the well-known Yehudi Menuhin. George Enescu died on 4 May 1955, and was buried in the Père Lachaise Cemetery in Paris. After his death, his hometown of Liveni was renamed George Enescu.
