Romania’s Dino Parc welcomes over 3 mln visitors since opening

Dino Parc Rasnov, the open-air museum in central Romania and the largest dinosaur park in southeastern Europe, announced that it passed the 3 million visitor mark. The park opened in June 2015 and has doubled in size since then, reaching 4 hectares and more than 120 life-size, scientifically certified dinosaurs.

Since the beginning of 2023, Dino Parc welcomed about 142,000 visitors.

This year, the park also signed a partnership with the School Inspectorate of the Municipality of Bucharest through which schoolchildren and pre-schoolers were able to visit the dinosaur park free of charge, as part of the “School Differently” and ”Green Week” campaigns. This partnership has expanded to include all schools in the country, so that almost 50,000 pupils got to discover the park’s attractions.

“We want Dino Parc Rasnov to become a long-term strategic partner in the education of new generations. With this goal in mind, we constantly provide teachers and families who visit us with their children with an entire prehistoric universe, built with care and passion, together with the greatest specialists in the field, according to the latest scientific discoveries,” said manager Adrian Apostu.

Investments are constantly made in Dino Parc and, this year, they include the development of an augmented reality app and the introduction of new activities and events for families. The park will also mark Children’s Day with special events scheduled for June 1-5.
