Costumes from Romania's Berlinale - awarded historic drama, on display at Bucharest mall

The costumes used in the feature length historic drama Aferim, which got director Radu Jude the Silver Bear at the Berlin Film Festival this year, are currently on display at a mall in Bucharest. The outfits took six months to make, said designer Dana Păpăruz, and over 30 people, including craftsmen, worked on making them. They created over 2,000 costumes for the film, and some of the most representative of them will be on display at the AFI palace Cotroceni Mall in Bucharest. The costumes are representatives for the 19th century in the Tara Romaneasca province. Aferim will premiere across Romanian cinemas on March 13.
