Charles de Gaulle Plaza monument to be moved for future underground passage works

The Millenium Cross monument in Charles de Gaulle Plaza in Bucharest will be moved to make room for the underground passage which will be build in the area. The passage will cost EUR 58 million for 1,400 meters of road. The monument in Charles the Gaulle plaza will be moved by the end of the year either to Herastrau park, or to an area on Aviatilor boulevard, close to Bordei park. The moving operations will cost EUR 170,000. The monument will be returned to its existing location once the undergound passage will be finalized. editor@romania-insider.com
