The Bucharest Symphony Orchestra will deliver the traditional New Year concert on December 30, at the capital’s Sala Palatului, starting 19:00. The orchestra, conducted by Jim Wang, will perform a program of well-known pieces of classical music and film soundtracks. The Bucharest Symphony Orchestra previously performed alongside such artists as the sopranos Angela Gheorghiu, Sarah Brightman, Tarja Turunen, Irina Baianț, the tenors Teodor Ilincăi, Marcel Pavel, Vlad Miriţă, the soloists Sarah Chang, Daishin Kashimoto, Claudio Bojorquez, George Tudorache, Cosmin Bănică, Alexandru Tomescu, Gabriel Croitoru, Corina Belcea, or the pop-rock artists Toto Cutugno, Directia 5 and Phoenix.
