Old Palace of Romania's National Bank opens to visitors
The National Bank of Romania (BNR) is opening its Old Palace in downtown Bucharest to visitors on April 18 and April 19 to mark 142 years since the institution's establishment.

The National Bank of Romania (BNR) is opening its Old Palace in downtown Bucharest to visitors on April 18 and April 19 to mark 142 years since the institution's establishment.
The Open Doors at BNR event also sees several other of the bank’s regional branches open to visitors. It is the case of those in Cluj, Constanţa, Dolj, Timiş and Iaşi, and the BNR agencies in Argeş, Braşov, Bihor, Buzău, Gorj, Maramureş, Sibiu and Suceava.
In Bucharest, the public can see the permanent exhibition of the BNR Museum, and two temporary exhibitions: 100 Years since the Birth of King Michael I (1921-2017) and Ecaterina Teodoroiu – the Heroine of the First World War.
The visitors can also attend tours covering information on the palace's history and architecture, and receive additional insights related to the bank's founder, Eugeniu Carada, the building, and the history of the national currency.
