State-owned power producer Hidroelectrica, the biggest electricity producer in Romania, recorded a net profit of RON 962 million (EUR 207 million) in the first half of this year, up by a third compared to the same period of 2017. The company’s turnover also went up by 19%, to RON 1.99 billion (EUR 428 million). Meanwhile, the operational costs went down by 2%, to RON 868 million (EUR 187 million). Hidroelectrica produced 20% more electricity in the first half, namely 9.17 TWh. editor@romania-insider.com
