Romanian cosmetics producer opens first Gerovital store on the French Riviera

Romanian cosmetics producer Farmec Cluj, whose portfolio includes the famous Gerovital brand, will open its first shop in France. The store, branded Gerovital, is located in Menton, one of the best-known resorts on the French Riviera, Farmec announced.

The shop sells cosmetics produced in Cluj-Napoca, including the recently launched Gerovital Happiness series for young people, as well as the Gerovital H3 Classic and Aslavital products.

This is Farmec’s first store opening abroad this year, after the Romanian company opened two shops in Greece, in Thessaloniki and Katerini, in 2014. It also has shops in Sharjah, in the United Arab Emirates, and Budapest, Hungary. The Romanian producer exports its products to 30 countries, including Japan, Poland, Iraq, Kuwait and Canada.

Farmec also has six stores in Romania, located in Cluj-Napoca, Arad, Timisoara and Targu Mures.

The cosmetics producer increased its sales by 10% in 2014, to EUR 34 million. Over the last five years, its turnover went up by 75%, as the company developed its portfolio and continued to expand into international markets.
