Romanians have their own lovers’ day – Dragobete, celebrated on February 24, ten days after the Valentine’s Day. And, as this is a Romanian celebration, we’ve prepared a list of Romanian love songs to listen today (or in any other day).

It’s not an easy job choosing only five songs, as most of the Romanian artists have beautiful songs about this amazing feeling. However, we’ve selected five Romanian songs that go from 1993 to 2016.

Gheorghe Gheorghiu – Unde dragoste nu e, nimic nu e (1993)

This is one of the most well known songs in Romania, and so is singer Gheorghe Gheorghiu, who was one of the most popular artists in Romania in the ‘90s. Some of his other famous songs are Doi Ochi Caprui, Ma Gandesc la Tine, and Sa Nu Ma Minti.

Romanian artist Delia launched in 2016 a remake of the hit Unde dragoste nu e nimic nu e, which you can listen here.

Holograf – Dragostea Mea (2003)

Holograf is one of the most famous rock bands in Romania. Formed in 1978, the band is still popular in Romania, being present at music festivals and having concerts across the country. The song Dragostea Mea is just one of their many hits.

Florin Chilian – Zece (2005)

Zece can easily be considered one of the most beautiful love songs from Romania. Florin Chilian is a Romanian singer best known for songs such as Chiar daca, Iubi, and Intoarce-te Cand Dorm.

Delia – Pe aripi de vant (2014)

Pe aripi de vant is one of Delia’s best known songs. Launched in 2014, the song became a national hit soon after launch, being played by almost all radio stations and music televisions in Romania.

Smiley – Indragostit (desi n-am vrut) (2016)

Smiley is a popular singer in Romania. The song Indragostit (desi n-am vrut) was launched in 2016, and was the first extras from Smiley’s upcoming solo album.
