The top three most expensive apartments put up for sale in Romania are in Bucharest, according to a ranking drawn up by local real estate classifieds platform Imobiliare.ro, based on the offers listed on this portal.

The most expensive apartment in Romania is a penthouse in Bucharest’s Primaverii area, which has a selling price of EUR 3.8 million.

The apartment is built on two levels and has seven rooms, plus the annexes. It covers 450 sqm, but the surface goes up to 650 sqm if the terraces are included. Moreover, it has three underground parking places and a storage room.

The second most expensive apartment is also a penthouse, but one that is located in the capital’s Soseaua Nordului – Herastrau area. Its selling price is EUR 3.15 million. This apartment has five rooms and covers 410 sqm. It is located in a building completed in 2008.

Next in the ranking is a new penthouse that costs EUR 2.49 million, plus VAT. This one is also located in northern Bucharest, near Herastrau Park, and covers 340 sqm. It has two levels, five rooms, and two terraces.

A penthouse in Timisoara, western Romania, is also among the most expensive apartments in Romania. It covers 150 sqm and its selling price amounts to EUR 670,000. The apartment is located in a building completed in 2012, and it is completely furnished and equipped.

In Brasov, the most expensive apartment put up for sale on Imobiliare.ro is a penthouse that costs EUR 650,000. It is located in Drumul Poienii area, it covers 180 sqm and has four rooms.

The top ten is completed by a penthouse in downtown Brasov, selling for EUR 600,000, another six-room penthouse in Brasov's Drumul Poienii selling for EUR 505,000, a three-room apartment in downtown Cluj-Napoca priced at EUR 430,000, an apartment located in a interwar villa in Cluj-Napoca at EUR 360,000, and yet another apartment in a historical building downtown Cluj with a price tag of EUR 350,000.
