The European Investment Bank (EIB) will provide support to the Romanian authorities to help increase the European funds’ absorption rate. The EIB and the Romanian Government will sign a memorandum for this collaboration, reports local Hotnews.ro. The Romanian authorities will receive support for implementing the projects within the 2014-2020 programming period, but also for closing the 2007-2013 Transport and Environment Sectoral Operational Programme. The European Investment Bank will help with monitoring, evaluation, preparation, and implementation.
