Enel X installs 2,000 PV panels on two Selgros stores in Romania

19 April 2022

Enel X Romania, part of Enel X, the advanced energy services division of the Enel Group, installed two photovoltaic panel systems with a total capacity of over 900 kWp for two Selgros stores in Mureş and Timiş counties.

Each system has roughly 1,000 panels. The systems ensure an average annual production of over 960 MWh and contribute to the reduction of over 200 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions per year.

Through these projects, Enel X Romania reached a portfolio of PV projects summing up to 40,000 PV panels resulting in an installed capacity of 1.8 MWp, assuming the same capacity per panel as for the latest projects.

The projects were implemented for the most important companies in sectors such as food, retail, logistics centres, shopping centres and office buildings.

In total, the panels installed contribute to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 3,700 tonnes per year.

The installation of these energy production sources has led to savings of over EUR 1 mln for the partner companies, by eliminating the costs associated with the transmission and distribution of electricity, as well as the contributions for green certificates and cogeneration, Enel X argues.
