City Grill opens restaurant near Bucharest’s National Arena
The City Grill group, controlled by local investor Dragos Petrescu, has invested EUR 0.5 million to open a restaurant with 650 seats in the National Arena area in Bucharest.
The restaurant will run under the Trattoria Buongiorno brand and will be the group’s first unit located in that neighborhood, reports local Ziarul Financiar. The network has been focusing on downtown Bucharest or on office buildings.
The new restaurant will cover 1,100 sqm. It will have 150 seats inside and 500 on the terrace, said Daniel Mischie, the group’s CEO.
The group of restaurants controlled by Petrescu currently owns 19 units, restaurants or cafes. It includes Hanu Berarilor, Caru cu Bere, Pescarus, and Hanu lui Manuc. It also runs 7 Trattoria Buongiorno restaurants and 7 City Grill units.
The group posted a EUR 30 million turnover last year, up 17% over 2015.
