Uber arrives in Alba Iulia, its 17th city in Romania

Uber is also available in Alba Iulia, in Romania’s Transylvania region, starting May 5. It launched its UberX service in the city and offers discounted trips until May 8.

The app connects passengers and drivers in over 70 countries worldwide, in more than 10.000 cities. In Romania, the company is now present in 17 cities, namely Bucharest, Timișoara, Cluj, Brașov, Iași, Constanța, Craiova, Galați, Pitești, Ploiești, Oradea, Brăila, Sibiu, Buzău, Bacău, Râmnicu Vâlcea, and Alba Iulia.

Riders in Alba Iulia benefit from a series of safety features available in the Uber app, including access to driver information such as photo, car model & number and rating. Passengers are able to track their trip in the app, both before the driver’s arrival at the pick-up location and during the ride, and can share the trip with a trusted contact.
